BPSE's Frequently Asked Questions

  • General
    1. Where is the Building Manager's office and what are his hours and contact details?
      The Building Manager's office is on the ground floor of the Boyd Tower near the car-park entrance. Hours are 08:00am - 04pm weekdays. The mobile number is: 0439-909-936.
    2. What is the BPSE Security company and what are their hours and contact details?
      Monjon Ltd is contracted as the BPSE complex's security company. They can be contacted 24 hours / 7 days a week on: 0417-666-566
    3. What is the BPSE pet policy?
      Pets, including dogs, are permitted. Dogs must be on a lead at all times when in common areas to assuage the feeling of those fearful of animals. Dogs are not permitted to enter the gym or pool area.
    4. Where are bicycles stored?
      Bicycles can be stored on the bicycle racks provided by the complex within the car-park. Bicycles must not enter the complex through the foyers or travel in the lifts.
    5. Can shopping trolleys enter the buildings through the foyers.
      No. Shoppings trolleys are not permitted to enter the foyers or travel in the lifts. Trolleys must not be abandoned in the foyers, car-parks or directly in front of entrances.
    6. Can the Resident's Lounge be used for private functions?
      Yes, the lounge exists expressly for this purpose and residents and guests are encouraged to avail themselves of it. Bookings can be made to use the Lounge with the Building Manager. Alcohol, pets and parties are not permitted, Suggested permitted activities are baby showers, conferences, hoddyist meet-ups, book clubs, etc.
    7. Does the BPSE complex provide key-lock boxes?
      Yes. Key-lock boxes can be purchased through the Building Manager for $130. The boxes are located on the ground floor of the Boyd Tower near the Building Managers office.
    8. What is the BPSE foyer usage policy?
      The complex's foyers are quiet waiting areas only. Sleeping or organised activities such as gym/dance practice or the hawking of goods and services is not allowed. Luggage must not be left unattended in the foyers at any time.
    9. Does this site have a Noticeboard for the publishing of notices and messages to fellow residents?
      Yes. Notices and messages can be submitted for publication on this page. Notices will display for a two week period. All notices and message submitted for publication are reviewed by management.
  • Serviced Apartment Guests
    1. What is the BPSE policy on Serviced Apartments?
      Serviced Apartment guests are welcome but guests must be aware that the complex is home to many permanent residents who expect that their peace and privacy be respected at all times.
    2. Can Serviced Apartment guests use an apartment for a party.
      Parties are prohibited in serviced apartments. Security will promptly attend to halt such an activity.
  • Moving In & Out
    1. When moving in or out how is furniture and heavy items shifted between the ground floor and the Level 2 lifts?
      The complex provides a utility vehicle which can be booked for a small fee for such purposes.
    2. Can large or heavy items such a furniture and white-goods be moved through the building foyers?
      No. To prevent damage to surfaces and avoid inconvenience to fellow residents large items must not be taken through the foyers.
    3. At what times can moves in and out of the complex be preformed?
      Moves can be made weekdays between 08am-04pm ONLY. Moves outside those times are not permitted as it may cause considerable inconvenience to other residents.
    4. Does BPSE provide general advice on the best way to go about a move either in or out?
      Yes. General advice for moves is provided on this page. Following that advice will ensure that the process goes quickly and smoothly for all concerned.
  • Gym & Pool
    1. Where is the gym/pool area located and what are its opening hours?
      The gym/pool area is located to the rear of the podium on Level 4. Opening hours are 05:00am to 11:00pm daily.
    2. Are dogs and pets allowed to enter the gym and pool areas.
      No. Dogs and pets are not permitted to enter these areas.
    3. What is the BPSE pool usage policy?
      No alcohol, food, glassware or pets. Children under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please shower before use.
    4. What is the BPSE gym usage policy?
      No alcohol, food, glassware or pets. Weights must be returned to racks after use.
  • Rubbish
    1. Where is rubbish disposed of on each level?
      Rubbish (i.e. household and kitchen waste) can be disposed of down the chute of the Bin Chute room, there is one on each level, directly adjacent to the lifts
    2. Can rubbish be left on the floor of the Bin Chute room if its too large to fit in the chute?
      No. Leaving rubbish on the floor of the Bin Chute room is a fire and hygiene hazard. If the items are too large they must be taken to the Rubbish Room on the ground floor.
    3. Where do I dispose of dangerous items such as glassware?
      Glassware must NEVER be disposed of down the chutes of the Bin Chute rooms. By the time such items fall to the ground floor they impact the skip below with explosive force potentially injuring the complex's management staff.
    4. When is the Rubbish Room on the ground floor open?
      24 hours daily.
    5. When is the Hard Rubbish Room on the ground floor open?
      06am-11pm daily.
    6. What items must NOT be disposed of down the rubbish chutes?
      Glassware, umbrellas, liquids, toxic or corrosive substances and recyclable materials must not be disposed of down the chutes. Please take recyclable items to the Rubbish Room and place them in the correct skip.
    7. Where are the Rubbish and Hard Rubbish Rooms located?
      The Rubbish Room is on the ground floor of the Boyd Tower near the Building Manager's office. The Hard Rubbish Room is at the opposite end of the corridor to the ordinary Rubbish Room.
    8. Where are very large items such as white-goods, old electrical equipment and furniture disposed of?
      These items can be discarded in the Hard Rubbish Room on the ground floor, near the car-park entrance.
  • Car Park & Parking
    1. Who handles car-parking disputes and complaints?
      Disputes are a private matter between the parties. The Building Manager is not responsible for resolving them as he does not have any authority to do so. If someone is parking in your space without authority contact Wilson Parking on: 1300-555-320.
      DO NOT APPROACH THE BUILDING MANAGER FOR ASSISTANCE.
    2. Where are the visitor parking bays?
      The BPSE complex does not provide any bays for visitor car-parking.
    3. Can visitors park in empty bays?
      No. Visitors are not permitted to park in another residents bay even when they are presently not being used.
  • Keys, FOBs & Swipes
    1. What is the purpose of the Black Key?
      The Black Key enables residents to access their own apartment.
    2. What is the purpose of the Red Key?
      The Red Key enables residents to access areas of the complex, other than their own apartment, that are usually kept locked, such as staircases, mail-rooms and utility areas. Residents should carry it with them at all times.

  • Herb & Vege Garden
    1. What rules apply to the use of the Herb & Vege Garden?
      There is one rule and one rule only: if you plant 'em you can pick 'em.
    2. Where is the Herb & Vege garden located?
      The garden is located toward the front of the podium on Level 4.
